I thought he had a quality game last night, but I was worried I was seeing things afterwards, when Tommy Mooney said on Tom Dross "worst performance in a Blues shirt ever." I was in disbelief! I thought he was everywhere last night; great running and some awesome tackles put in, solid in the midfield and good distribution (one cross field ball was a dream) and ALMOST the finest technical goal we have seen at St. Andrews in years!

So, Mooney just chatting rubbish or was he really bad?!

Yeah I heard that on Ross's show on the way home and it left me confused. I thought N'daw was'nt exactly quality but he didn't play badly either.

N'Daw really impressed me, I prefer him to Gomis in that role, hope that we sign him **thumbup

N'daw was awful for most of it, but had a couple of flashes of brilliance.

NDaw and Fahey were both very poor in their distribution but good in the tackle, except for the odd pass that actually found a fellow Blues player. Both could have pivotal roles in the team as the holding/sweeper player but playing both gives us no forward momentum. Gomis is no better really as he is the same sort of player. All likeable lads - Fahey seems to be growing his moustache for Movember - but playing 2 of the 3 has a negative effect on our attacking options. Perhaps if CH asked Fahey to push forward and leave some of the defending duties to his colleague.......?

couldnt believe what Mooney said either

He did the job he was asked to do which was break up their play. He isnt the type of player to spray passes all over the place.

I thought he did a pretty good job, and what dismayed me was tom dross being forced to agree with mooney

N'Daw offered steel to a midfield desperate for it, mixed some very decent forward passes in with a few stray ones, mixed some very good challenges in with one or two clumsy ones, never hid, and had a quality effort on target which forced an equally good save. Considering he's played very little over the last year, I'm impressed with him.

I'd give him a 6 or 6.5 for a match rating.

He (and Murphy) should keep their place in the side away to Reading, but I don't think Chris will agree with me.

I didn't hear what Mooney said but it was a disgraceful comment if he slated N'Daw.

The whole team were poor first half but N'daw did OK and got better as the game went on. He was 100% better than when he played against Braga at home. He's strong in the tackle and played some pretty good passes at times. I don't think he let the team down at all. Just needs more games, I think he could be useful for us.

Ross is obviously smoking far stronger stuff than the rest of us if he believes that N' Daw had the worst game he'd ever seen by a Blues player; certainly he did some dumb stuff but he also put in a few boneshaking tackles, sprayed a couple of wonderful passes and produced a wonderful strike that was only denied by an equally wonderful save. Tom Ross is an eejit of the highest order.

I normally agree with what Tommy says, but not this time. The whole team was shaky in the first half but N'Daw showed a determination to get stuck in throughout. Yes, a couple of his tackles were mistimed, but he also broke up several attacks with great tackles. As someone else has pointed out he also put in some superb passes. And who will ever forget that shot. But for a great save, that would have been a contender for goal of the season.

So, worst player? No. For me he was one of our best yesterday and deserves a starting line up in the league.

Tommy was spot on. He was dreadful. He did one nice 20 yard pass and the shot. Other than that I agree with Tommy, was one of the worst performances down St Andrews for a while. His positioning was all over the place his tackling was poor, he couldn’t even make a few 5 yard passes... should have been sent off as well because how he didn’t get booked for that one tackle I don’t know.

I think you've been smoking what ever Tommy Mooney was on.

I 100% disagree.

The whole team collectively were poor in the first half ; N'Daw was by no means the worst. He is not the type of player to race forward and shouldn't be expected to. As a holding player he could be good for us.

I thought he had passages of really sloppy play with flashes of real quality so either he needs more games or thats the way he is. It will be interesting to see if CH trusts him in a league game.

Simon, you say he was dreadful, but may I request that if you recorded the match it is worth you watching it again without the tensions of it being live and take particular note of N'Daw's play. I think you will then see how much work he got through and what a good game he had. I've been guilty myself during a match of thinking a player has done badly but have then revised my opinion when I've watched the match afterwards without any pressure.

N'daw was awful last night, i have never seen players go past a centre mid so easy. 5 yard passes straight to opposing team. passes going out of play. Mistimed tackles. SHOCKING fist touch. Dont be blinded by the comeback. He was rubbish

On the whole I thought NDaw did ok, watched him and he covered a lot of ground and broke up a lot of Bruges attacks before they got into dangerous positions.

Lets face it he ain't a Makele (sorry about possible spelling) of Chelsea in holding midfielder regards but if he was he wouldn't be at Blues in the Championship. Not the worst player last night not the best, but played an important role and nearly scored one of the goals of the season. I think on this occasion Mr. Mooney is well off the mark imo.

I thought he got better as the game went on and could be just the player we need

We seriously lack a bit of bite in our midfield

More games he gets i think he gets better

Elliott best midfield player ? Seems a tidy player but so slow - Pace of our play picked up when he went off IMO

NDaw does have a level of awkwardness in the way he moves which makes me worry when he is on the ball. But for me last night, for all his shortcomings, he had a really good game. He has a good eye for a pass and on a number of occasions made a really clever pass to team a mate who were in the danger area. He worked hard also and so nearly scored!!

Okay he's not perfect but I agree with another post. He played much better then the last time I saw him.

maybe not the best with the ball
but will throw a proper tackle in
you can tell watching him
he gives it his all
what more can we ask ?
